For example, the way you did hands, the face shapes, the eyes, the hair, the coloring, is all a lot nicer and more unique in your 'before' piece. But thats just me, I'm sure a lot of people prefer your new style anyway (:
I do agree though that I've been struggling with style uniqueness and that shows in my gallery. I'm currently working for a visual novel development team which is almost completely male, and they prefer cuteness and general appeal over any "odd" quirks in my art. We've actually had many discussions about the way I draw noses, which is sort of ridiculous in hindsight but I do see their point. Hopefully I'll be able to continue improving while creating my own unique style.
